Born in 2000, George began piano lessons at the age of five. In 2008, he became a Chorister at St Albans Cathedral. During his time in the choir, he toured Sweden, Italy and Germany, and on his final tour, to Germany, George was the organist’s assistant.

George began taking organ lessons with Andrew Lucas in 2015. He took part in courses in Oundle and Cambridge, where he performed in a joint recital at St John’s College and accompanied Choral Evensong at King’s College as an organist of the Eton Choral Course.

George was appointed Organ Scholar at St Michael’s Church, St Albans in 2016, which included conducting the choir in the absence of the Director of Music. In addition to his work at St Michael’s, George accompanied the Abbey Singers at St Albans Cathedral – a choir made up of ex-St Albans Choristers.

In 2017, George entered St Alban’s Young Musician of the Year Competition winning in the Keyboard Category. He also participated in the London Organ Competition that year, where he reached the final.

In September 2019, George began studying at the Royal College of Music in London, under the tutelage of David Graham. He has performed concerts at St James’s Church Sussex Gardens, and at St Dunstan’s-in-the-West. He was a finalist in the 2020 Northern Ireland Organ Competition.

George will be performing a number of concerts in 2021, including at St Olave’s Church in Greenwich, and in Augustinerkirche, Würzburg. He is also currently planning a three concert tour of Italy in the summer.

George is grateful to have the support of the Talent Unlimited Trust.
